The Love of Christ Through Mission

Bodacious Women for Christ is the catchy title of Re-Source for Christian Spirituality and the Women’s Board of Missions next gathering on Saturday, May 13th from 8:30-11:30 am at Lihue United Parish Hall.

If you’re interested in missionary work they will be discussing two new ones: Pu’a Foundation for incarnated women and Hui Ho’omalu foster care.

The Pu’a Foundation website says ‘We are a non-profit organization that connects resources to need for a better Hawaii society by developing community resources through organizing, capacity building and training. We focus on families affected by trauma and incarceration with special emphasis on women, girls and Native Hawaiian females.’

And Hui Ho’omalu provide foster care for the keiki of Hawaii and their website states ‘There are approximately 1,200 children in Hawai‘i who are not able to live with their families. We especially need General Licensed families willing to accept older children/teenagers and sibling groups.’
