Ho’ala Mai the Queen’s Lu’au and Legacy Celebration is a fundraiser on the 179th birthday anniversary of Queen Lili’uokalani! Held in Waipā on the northshore on Saturday, September 2nd, from 12Noon until 5 pm.
Ho`āla Mai will feature special tributes in honor of Queen Lili’uokalani. And all the proceeds raised will support the program and scholarship initiatives of the Kaipuwai Foundation that is spread to the community through Hālau Palaihiwa O Kaipuwai and Studio HA`A – Studio HA`A serves as the central hub of cultural programs, events, learning opportunities and experiences that are inspired by Hula as an Alliance of the Arts. It is also the home base of Hālau Palaihiwa O Kaipuwai, a traditional hula school established on Kauai in 1945 by the late hula master, Helen Kekua Waiau.
Tickets cost $50 for ages 13+, and $30 for ages 12 and under, and include luau luncheon, entertainment and festivities all day. Without the luau they cost $30 for ages 13+ and $15 for ages 6-12, keiki under 5 years old are free.
