Hawaii Leadership Residency, formerly known as the Makanalani Internship, is a faith-based young adult program created through Makanalani to equip young adults through immersive discipleship, hands-on service, and intentional community. 

Through 3 months serving with Makanalani through work on the farm, small business practices, serving with groups at the Kids House, adventures in God’s creation, Biblical teachings, and daily life modeled after Acts 2:42-46; residents grow in love for Jesus and others, zeal for His House, and a heart of servant leadership.

Whatever their next endeavors may be, residents are sent out to handle today’s challenges with clearer purpose, greater direction, and boldness to lead in the life Christ calls them to- a grand, global, gospel adventure.
