Hurricane Lowell Relief Fundraiser – Help Makalani Kids Reopen!
The effects of Hurricane Lowell took a large toll on Makanalani’s 130-acre farm. With hundreds of trees damaged and down, including several large albizia trees, our main road has become completely inaccessible and is going to take months of hard work and high costs to restore access to the Kids House once again for guests. Thankfully we have reached a point where staff ATV’s can access most areas, but it will be a long process to recover the farm and make it safe enough to welcome in guests again. We have sadly had to cancel our bookings for September/October 2026, and it is looking more and more like we will have to cancel at minimum until the start of 2027 due to the high volume of work and cost it will take to get the roads usable again. That being said, our goal is to get the Kids House available again for guests as soon as possible!
This GoFundMe fundraiser is to support the mission of Makanalani Kids and speed up the process of clean up. Providing necessary funding in order to safely clear the large fallen trees in order to make our property safe and accessible for the kids to return to. If you or anyone you may know may feel called to donate and support our cause, we would be extremely grateful!

Our mission is to give life-changing camps at no charge to youth groups who would otherwise not have the opportunity to experience such a camp.

We are always trying out ways to improve our farm to help us be more self-sustaining as well as setting up local business ventures to help supplement our growing maintenance costs.
