July is our busiest month of the year! We had a blast with back-to-back camps and events nearly every day!

A Summer of Camps
This July has been such a joy! Hosting summer camps for churches and groups all over Kauai and truly investing into local youth. These kids came from all ends of the island to experience camp together, spending the days playing games, exploring nature, and making memories that will last a lifetime!
ABLE Ministries!
This month we got to celebrate one of the best days of the year, our day with ABLE Ministries! ABLE is a local ministry that runs through Lihue Missionary Church which takes time monthly to invest into the special needs community on the island of Kauai!
We have had the privilege for several years now to be able to invest into their summer with a big Makanalani event day full of fun and adventure! This year was no different as these VIP’s got to take time away from normal life and spend the day in community with their friends and making fun memories! Some highlights of the day included a trailer ride scavenger hunt, praise and worship, crafts, water balloons, and a dance party!
We are so thankful for this ministry and all they do, and for all the leaders and volunteers who make this happen!
Makanalani Interns: Summer 2024
Our Summer 2024 Intern session is drawing to a close. This crew of young adults have been serving behind the scenes all summer. Helping serve groups of kids at the Kids House, hosting games and activities, maintaining the farm, making product from farm produce and selling it at the market, and working at our businesses!
We are so incredibly thankful for these interns and would love for you to join us in praying for them as they enter the next season of life!
Moving into this Fall, please welcome the Hawaii Leadership Residency!
Moving into this fall, The Makanalani Internship is getting a new name and expansions upon its original vision! Growing young adults in Mentorship, Community, Serving, and Adventure. We are excited for all to come in this new season!

Farm Days
There is always work to be done on the farm! Our farm staff and interns have been working hard maintaining the land. Through all the hard work it’s important to stay hydrated! Taking a break in the shade of the trees and looking up at the Kauai mountains is a perfect way to cool off the body and soul!
Slip and Slide Adventures
The Slip and Slide is always a highlight of the summer! The perfect way to beat the heat and enjoy time with friends! The campers always get creative with how they slide with friends and try to impress each other with tricks!
