Pack Shoeboxes for National Collection Week 2018!

Teach your keiki about the gift of giving during this year’s national collection week. Running from November 12th until 19th. The event is hosted by Operation Christmas Child which is part of Samaritan’s Purse a well known organization that provides international relief while spreading the Word of God.

All you need to do is find an average sized shoebox and fill it with either girl or boy gifts for the selected age category 2-4, 5-9, or 10-14. You can fill the box with anything you choose but suggestions include: a large ‘main gift’ or ‘wow!’ Item then more practical things such as soap, toothbrush, crayons, pens and pencils. You can add more personal touches such as a picture of who and where the parcel is from and a letter. Than you do the most important part – pray, pray for the child and all children who are in need and who will receive these gifts and the blessings from our Lord God. You can also pay a little extra to track your box so you know exactly where it was destined to go.

‘Acts 20:35
In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’’
