The talented keiki from Hawaii Children’s Theatre’s Summer Stars program will be performing onstage for 3 nights only! Starting tonight! It’s all happening down at Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall and the show starts at 7:00 pm tonight and at 3:00 pm (ideal for younger keiki to stay awake for!) on Saturday and Sunday the 28th and 29th. Tickets are $10 and $12 at the door.
This award winning fairytale is full of songs with messages and lessons about love and acceptance despite outward appearances. This reminds us of Jesus and His love for those that were deemed ‘unclean’ at the time and how He healed them with no thought to Himself, His love for all shining through for all to see.
Matthew 8
When Jesus came down from the mountainside, large crowds followed him. A man with leprosy came and knelt before him and said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.”
Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy. Then Jesus said to him, “See that you don’t tell anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.”
