National Day of Prayer

Every day is prayer day, in fact we can’t imagine going a day without praying! But did you know that The National Day of Prayer is an annual day of observance designated by the United States Congress?

Since 1952 people have been asked to use this day as one of prayer and meditation, to turn to God and ask for his guidance while offering prayer. And each year the current president signs a proclamation, encouraging all Americans to pray, and we don’t expect this year to be any different.

This is also a great time to do that most holiest of orders and bring more people to hear The Word of God and bring them to His everlasting love.

Here on Kauai the National Day of Prayer is celebrated at the Lihue Civic Center Rotunda with a wide array of prayers, songs and chants from many different religious and spiritual traditions, if you’d like to attend it starts at 9:00am on Thursday, May 3rd.

Mark 16:15
‘And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.’
