This past weekend our good friends from Young Life Kauai stayed at the Kids’ House for some fellowship and retreat time. It’s always good to have them here, and we are grateful for the work they do with youth here on the island.
After signing the lease for our new Chicken in a Barrel restaurant, we have been working diligently to prepare for opening day. Our restaurant manager and his assistant manager have begun training with an existing Chicken in a Barrel, learning the recipes, techniques, registers, closing procedures…pretty much everything it takes to operate.
Last but not least, meet Gardenia…the newest calf in our dairy herd. She was born just a couple weeks ago, and is loving life on the farm. Isn’t she adorable?
