We hope and pray that you are all having a wonderful day with family, friends, good food, surrounded by the beauty, grace and love of our Lord and Savior.
It can be easy during this busy time, with many dishes to prepare and guests to greet to forget about the meaning of Thanksgiving. So take a minute to stop and give praise to God for all He has blessed you with and will continue to bless you with in the coming years.
Whether you are prepping food or waiting hungrily we can all take time to consider what we are grateful for and in doing so we can share it with others around the dining table or during Thanksgiving grace.
2 Corinthians 9:11
‘You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God.’
Psalm 107:8-9
‘Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.’
Colossians 3:17
‘And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.’
1 Timothy 4:4-5
‘For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.’
Psalm 106
‘Praise the Lord. Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.’
Happy Thanksgiving and God bless you.
