Ahh summer and the long hot endless days of the summer vacation. As a child it seemed endless, and the prospect of camp another adventure in waiting – would it be the one you wanted to go to or one your parents knew you needed!
As always we are both blessed and spoilt for choice here on Kauai with many summer camps to choose from. Two of our favorites being the animal based Summer Critter Camp at Kauai Humane Society and the Healing Horses, Kauai Summer Horsemanship and Riding Camp. Both promise outdoor fun for keiki with animals.
The Kauai Humane Society Summer Critter Camps run from June 5th to the 9th and again from June 19th the the 23rd. They offer: Dog training, arts, crafts, games, outdoor activities, socializing with shelter animals and educational speakers. The camp is suitable for keiki aged 7-12 and is $175 a session, they also offer early and late pick up or drop off for an extra $10 per day. Healing Horses Kauai are offering their Healing Horses, Kauai Summer Horsemanship and Riding Camp on June 5th to 9th, June 12th to 16th, June 26th to 30th and July 10th to 14th. Promising fun filled equestrian adventures the camp costs from $45 per day with discounts for more than 3 days attendance or if two or more siblings attend.
