Mother’s Day Events on Kauai

There are always so many wonderful things to do on Kauai that sometimes we can feel a little spoilt for choice. This coming Mother’s Day there are plenty of things going on around our beautiful island, and we thought we’d share a few of them with you.

The Broadway in Love Dinner Show is on Saturday, May 13th, at 5:30 pm. This dinner show features your favorite Broadway love songs performed by the Broadway Pacific Singers. It’s at the Courtyard Marriott Kapaa, and you can get tickets (plus a local discount if you show your ID at the door) from 482-1455, www.broadwaypacificsingers.com

On Saturday, May 13th, at 6:00 pm it’s time for the latest KISS Concert. This one having the theme – Songs of Love and Mom. Join the Kauai Island Singers Showcase for a FREE evening of magical songs under the stars during Kukui’ula’s Art Walk at The Palm Court at the Shops at Kukui’ula in Poipu. If you fancy taking Mom to something a little less musical there is also the Grove Farm Celebration Luau on Saturday, May 13th, from 5:30-8:30 pm. Celebrating 100 Years of Preservation Luau! Join Grove Farm Museum for a fundraiser luau under the full moon! Featuring Frank De Lima, the Hawaiian Trio Waiola, and Halau Kaulupuaonalani, with Ed Kaahea as Master of Ceremonies. The dinner will be catered by Contemporary Flavors. Tickets are $100per person from Grove Farm museum Gift Shop, the Waioli Mission House in Hanalei, Magic Dragon in Princeville, Kauai Music and Sound in Kapaa, Ha Coffee Bar in Lihue, Island Soap & Candle in Koloa, and Talk Story Bookstore in Hanapepe. There is also a Craft Fair on Saturday, May 13th & 27th, from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm at the Church of the Pacific if you like the idea of taking Mom to buy a Kauai made gift. At this fair you can find products like Niihau and sunrise shell jewelry, bone and wood carvings, paintings and prints, note cards, sun catchers, American and Hawaiian quilts and futons and blankets, sewn gifts, silk floral arrangements, fragrant floral soaps, wearable art, Hawaiian dolls, and much more.
