Sewing is one of those basic skills that we tend to take for granted, it seems there is always someone who has the skills to be able to patch your jeans, or put a button on your aloha shirt. But is that person you? And if not would you like it to be?
It can be hard in these modern times to think about learning ‘old fashioned’ but practical skills such as sewing, but we live and work on a farm, and that’s about as traditional as it gets.
Discount Fabric Warehouse is offering beginners sewing classes for kids, on Monday’s from 3-5:30 pm and Wednesday’s from 3-5 pm, and adults who wish to learn the basics aren’t left out, they have their own class on Sunday’s from 12:30-3 pm. If you’d like to know more then just ask a fabric clerk while you’re there.
