Do you sometimes think your pet understands you (even if they do choose to ignore you) or do you think they might even enjoy being spoken to, or that they might like having a story read to them?
We love anything that encourages young minds, and this event at the Lihue library does just that. It’s called PAWS to read, and was created for children six years and older to improve their literacy skills by reading to an animal in a fun and relaxed way. It’s not very long, only 10 minute slots, and they’re available on a first come, first served basis from 2:30-3:30 pm on Wednesday, December 7th.
You’re welcome to bring your favorite book (we all know what ours is!) or choose one from the library’s collection.
