Just a reminder that Storybook Theatre’s Read Across America program is come up in ten days, on February 27th. If you have keiki on Kauai now is the time to sign up for this great opportunity to join local authors Carol Peacock-Williams, Susan Dierker, Mark Jeffers, Monika Mira &, of course, Russell the Rooster for special readings and workshops.
This day is dedicated to:
- Increasing awareness about the important of literacy
- Providing an opportunity for children to interact with local authors
- Reinforcing the important of reading by encouraging creativity through writing & artistic expression
- Providing children with new books they can read at home
- Providing parents with information about the importance of reading to their children
