When we think of Christ, one of the first things that comes to mind is his compassion for the poor among us.
As you probably know if you are following this blog, Makanalani’s mission is to provide a place for children with few opportunities to experience God’s love in nature, even if only for a short time. We know through our experiences with the youth who come to Makanalani that these visits can be life changing, leading to a deeper appreciation of the love of God & the many possibilities each of us are provided in life through Christ.
So what does the bible say specifically about the poor? We decided to look & found these inspiring verses. We hope you enjoy them & are able to use them in your daily meditations.
