The Hawaii Community Foundation Giving Grove is a project of our friends at Malama Kauai, just down the road from Makanalani. It is part of the Hawaii Community Foundation, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2016.
The Hawaii Community Foundation (HCF) supports more than 700 charitable funds throughout the islands, & they have planted a breadfruit tree for each individual fund!
HCF got in touch with the Breadfruit Institute of the National Tropical Botanical Garden to grow seedlings of Ma‘afala trees & Malama Kauai was one of the organizations that participated in the plantings.
