The homeschooling movement has matured in the last few decades. Now many children are homeschooled & their success is a testimony to how effective it can be.
Many homeschooled children excel at academics, &, of course, homeschooling also allows you the opportunity to assure that your children are getting the moral & ethical lessons you want for them. Plus, you get to spend those precious hours with your children, which is, perhaps, the greatest reward of all.
But what if you don’t feel qualified to home school on your own? Fortunately, since the movement has been around for so long now, there are many resources for the parents who wish to homeschool.
Here on Kauai we are lucky to have the Christian Homeschoolers of Kauai. This group is a collection of families who help each other to teach in a biblical way.
One of the problems that some homeschoolers have is scheduling time for their kids to be with other children. This is a great advantage to organizations like Christian Homeschoolers of Kauai — they schedule fun events throughout the year, including whale watching & a track meet, plus an end of school year party.
The program is free & you can find out more by writing to: contactCHOK@gmail.com.
