Kauai Food Forest

Makanalani is not just a youth retreat, it is also a working farm, so we are always excited to hear about programs like the Kauai Food Forest.

You can visit them on the North Shore to see all that Regenerations Botanical Garden is doing.

The Kaua’i Food Forest is growing up! We need more hands.  This year we have started the Adopt-A-Row program.  The forest has ten unique areas, each will greatly benefit from being hanaied by your ‘ohana.
What this looks like…planting, soil building, weeding, trimming and harvesting. You will learn observation, plant identification, nursery propagation, ecosystem design, chop and drop mulching, and more. The forest needs TLC, so come give your kokua and love it up!  Come by for a visit so you can decide which area your hui would like to steward.Visiting Hours: Every day between sunrise and sunset
