Malama Kauai Community Farm

Did you know that Malama Kauai has a community garden? And that they are working with Connect 5 Kids to develop a Youth Garden and Keiki on the Farm activities? These are the kind of great programs that we are so lucky to have on Kauai.

If you’re a parent who would be interested in bringing your child to the farm, please complete their survey HERE to provide them with your input on the Youth Garden and Keiki on the Farm activities.

From Malama Kauai’s newsletter:

We’ve also been busy expanding our propagation for the Kaua`i School Garden Network and increasing our production space on the farm, in order to offer affordable, sustainably-grown produce to the community. Come say hi at our booth at the Namahana Farmers Market, Saturdays at 9am, at Anaina Hou Community Park in Kilauea.

We hope you can join us at one of our Community Farm Days this month:

• Sunday, March 1st – 9am to 12noon

• Sunday, March 15th – 9am to 12noon

• Sunday, March 29th – 9am to 12noon

All Community Farm Day events are followed by a potluck lunch and great conversations! It’s a fun way to get your hands in the dirt, make new friends, and learn more about producing your own food.
