As school ends for the summer, we are getting ready for all of the adventures ahead! Let's reflect back on what has been going on at Makanalani this May!
Kilauea Elementary 6th Grade Graduates
One of the highlights of our month was spending a day with the 6th Grade Graduates from Kilauea Elementary School! We had such a great day playing games, visiting animals, and more! Such a fun way to celebrate these students before they move on to middle school later this year!
Summer 2024 Interns!
It’s about that time again for summer interns! Our crew of new and returning interns alike are ready to go! We’re thankful for these young adults and their hearts to serve. They will be spending the summer working behind the scenes to help Makanalani run smoothly! Whether that be through maintaining the farm, working with animals, harvesting produce to make our product for farmers markets, investing in keiki at the Kids House, or working our businesses like JoJo’s Shave Ice, they are a massive blessing to us! Make sure to say hello if you see them around the island!

2024 Kauai Charity Walk
We had the opportunity to set up at the 2024 Kauai Charity Walk this year! It was such a blessing to get out in the community to connect with so many people to raise awareness of nonprofits in our community. We are incredibly thankful for those who walked with us and stopped by to say hello! We hope to see you there next year!
