Goodbye Summer 2023!
It's Been a Great Summer!
We had a fantastic summer over here at Makanalani! Nearly nonstop adventure the entire time between all of the camps, day trips, and more. It was such a blessing to see so many kids exploring and having fun all with the biggest smiles on their faces.
Highlights from our Summer Adventures!
ABLE Ministries Day!
One of our favorite days of the year! We had the incredible opportunity to partner up with ABLE Ministries Kauai to host a big day event for them! It was such an incredible day of exploring the farm, visiting the animals, and using the slip and slide. All of our interns got to come and be apart of this special day. All of the smiles seen were just the cherry on top of an amazing time.
Summer 2023 Interns
We had such a fantastic time with our summer interns this year. It’s always such a gift to see these young adults come in with open hearts to serve, grow, and live in community together. God did great things in the lives of these young adults!
Construction in the Game Field
Something new is coming… Pickleball! Up at our game field we have started constructing a Pickleball Court. We’re so excited to have this area to offer even more for groups to do during their stay at the Kids House. We’re so excited for it so be ready and playable!
An Update on our Staff House!
Our new staff housing is still coming along! It’s been a long process, but with each passing day we see more and more progress toward our end goal. The newest additions of the front entryway, stone wall around the outside, and now paint are really starting to tie everything together!
