Makanalani is all about kids, and we are keen supporters of anything that helps children and especially our island keiki to reach their full potential. We understand that life can be tough and God can place challenges in our way, but He also provides for us and will always have our best interests at heart and He will guide us to the path that is best for us, we just need to trust Him.
Many people on our island home work so hard to provide opportunities for our keiki and we love them for it and are so grateful when God brings them to our notice so that we can share it with you all.
On October 27-28, from 9am-6pm on both days at the Hilton Garden Inn, youth in our community ages 14-24 have the chance to attend the Kauai Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation Conference. This free event (free for youth (14-24), supportive adults accompanying a youth, mentors, and collaborators, and $50 for others) is a workshop for young entrepreneurs who have a business idea or venture that they want to start. Offering guidance on where to begin with: breakfast, lunch, snacks, water, prototyping materials, mentors, and speakers for the two days all for free!
This workshop is for those with a positive attitude and lots of energy who want to be change makers and will provide them the tools to start up their own business!
