‘Last Week at a Glance…
Fall Serve Session Kick-off, New Interns, Experiencing Island life

September 10th kicked off our Fall 2018 Serve Session!! We are super excited to have a new crew (with a couple returning) to introduce to you, along with all of the work God is doing at Makanalani. They are eager to be put to work and have already fallen in love with the beauty here in Kauai.

Each week you can look forward to getting to know a different intern. This week we will highlight our whole crew from the farm tour, tea garden, and our training at JoJo’s!

Hey everyone! My name is Lauren and I wanted to take a quick second to introduce myself. I am 23, from Arizona, and I have the privilege to keep you all updated with our weekly newsletter during the Fall Serve Session. I’ve always loved to write and words are so powerful. We use our newsletter to keep all of those involved and supporting Makanalani up to date on each week’s accomplishments. Coming to Kauai from Arizona was a huge step out of my comfort zone, and I am stoked to be here to highlight Makanalani, their partnering businesses, and what is taking place in the lives of the interns each week. This past week we’ve met a lot of new faces, done some island adventuring, and have been gaining more responsibility and knowledge about all that we will be part of during our 3 months on this beautiful island.’
