We’ve spoken a bit about how important it is for our youth to read and how reading out loud to our younger keiki is essential to getting them interested in reading themselves, as well as it being a special family bonding time. But we also understand that with some younger children they tend to get rather fixated on one book and we find ourselves reading ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ out loud for the umpteenth time.
New books to get them excited is what’s needed and what is better than traveling to your local library and having someone else read to them from their own books!
On Thursday, September 20th at 3:00 pm you can head on down to Koloa Library with your keiki aged 3-5 years for Story Time for Preschoolers – Silly ‘N Spooky Tales With Jeff Gere. It’s the perfect time as Autumn is in the air and Halloween is approaching. These takes are light and fun, specially written with younger keiki in mind. The spooky refers to spooky tension that turns into laughter. As Jeff is known for his physical and fun style of storytelling which all youngsters will no doubt enjoy.
