While talking recently about Read Across Kauai Day and the importance of reading to our island youth it seems absolutely appropriate to bring you the details of the upcoming book sale at Princeville Library, literally just up the road from us!
Not only is this quarterly book sale one of the biggest we know of, but they also give out one free book to every child who comes in. And the price of the books on sale is very reasonable too, with children’s books being cheaper than those marked as for adults.
Plus after 2 pm everything becomes half price in a effort to help clear the shelves for the next sale. And after the sale local schools and non profits are invited in to take whatever books they can use, what a wonderful idea!
If you find yourself with a surplus of books already and no room for more then the library is always happy to take donations of books, cds, and dvds.
The sale will be held on Saturday, September 8th, from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm and Friends of the Library can go in early at 9:00 am. To find out more call Princeville Library on 826-4310, or click here for their website.
