It’s nearly Independence Day and that means it’s time to celebrate our wonderful country and enjoy time with friends and family giving thanks to God for this land we love our beautiful America. There are two main family fun events held on Kauai for Independence Day and we’re delighted to share them with you.
First up on Tuesday, July 3rd from 4pm to 9 pm it’s America’s Most West Freedom Fest held at PMRF (Pacific Missile Range Facility) all are invited to this free event which will take place on the beach adjacent to Shenanigans restaurant. There will be food for purchase and you’re advised to bring cash as there are no ATMs on site. Live music by Cruz Control, Henry Kapono & Duke’s on Sunday Band, Kapena and Ka Vibes to be enjoyed by all and craft vendor will be in attendee with crafts for sale. Free parking is on base and all vehicles will be subject to search, additionally outside food, beverages, coolers, tents, pets, weapons of any kind, drugs, personal fireworks or drones are not allowed in. Small bags and water bottles are allowed, however, all items are subject to search. Motorcycles are welcome however riders must wear helmet, boots, bright colored long sleeve shirt, jacket or reflective vests. Due to security requirements, attending adult visitors are asked to have a valid photo identification card with them. Children under the age of 18 are not required to have identification. On Wednesday, July 4th from 4pm to 9:30pm it’s time for Kauai Hospice Annual Concert in the Sky, and this year it’s the 29th! The biggest fireworks show on the island will also be offering live music, games, food for purchase and lots of fun. Held at Vidinha Stadium, Lihue. Tickets are $15 for adults, and $7 for keiki aged 6 to 12 years for this fundraising event for Kauai Hospice. To find out more call 245-7277
