A chilled out evening of entertaining story time awaits on Wednesday, May 9th with former children’s librarian Dave del Rocco. Once a librarian who spent time translating children’s books in Hawaiian he is now giving up his time to read to invited keiki.
“Stories of Hawaii and the World” is just that, folktales from around the world. Mostly funny in nature the Stories come from Laos, Hawaii, Italy, Africa, and the Philippines and other places! And show how different cultures view aspects of their world.
This program is suitable for all ages, although young children will need to be accompanied by an adult caregiver. It’s all happening at Waimea Public Library on Wednesday, May 9th at 6:00 pm the event is free and lasts for around 45 minutes.
