When is a CrossWalk not a CrossWalk?

Have you heard of a CrossWalk? No it’s not just a safe place to cross the road although we love those too, but rather a walk with others while carrying a cross to represent what Jesus went through on Good Friday.

It’s a time to reflect, to feel closer to Jesus and Our Lord God, with like minded people all taking a turn of carrying that heavy burden. Many people describe it as a deeply spiritual experience and one that draws them closer to God and strengthens their own faith through sharing this experience.

The cross today is a symbol of hope, of love, and salvation, a symbol that shows God’s great love for us.

‘John 3:16-17
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.’

If you feel called to join in with a CrossWalk then there is one happening on Good Friday, March 30th at 6pm after services with Calvary Chapel Lihue. They will be meeting at Kauai Veterans Center and will shuttle you to Vidinha Stadium where the CrossWalk will take place, walking from there back to the Veterans Center.
