Being a parent is one of the hardest jobs we have, and one that we all want to get right. Teaching your child about the love of our Lord God is one of the most important things and greatest gifts we could ever share with them, but where to start can be a challenge.
There are tools out there to help us: our church, family and God Himself. And classes just like this one. The Shepherding a Child’s Heart Parenting Class is a six week series based on the book and seminar by Tedd Tripp (click on his name to be taken to his website).
Starting on Tuesday, March 13th and ending on April 17th, Pastor Bruce and Janet from Calvary Chapel Lihue will be leading this six-week series from 6:30-8 pm. In it you will learn: getting to the the heart of behavior, helping our kieki see the Glory of God, how to live joyfully under authority, understanding what shapes our children, examining and avoiding unbiblical mistakes, and putting Biblical methods to use in child rearing.
Although the $12 book is highly recommended it is not necessary to purchase it to take the class. Additionally there is another, separate parenting workbook also available for $12. The classes will be held at Calvary Chapel Lihue and childcare is available. Just let them know in advance so they can prepare.
