Have you heard of Eat Dessert First? Well it’s exactly what is sounds like, a chance to finally do what all we all secretly want to and eat that delicious dessert before our dinner (and yes, leaving no room for it either)!
It’s also the signature fundraiser for the Zonta Club of Kauai and the proceeds stay right here on Kauai to help provide student scholarships in our high schools and to assist with the education of women re-entering the work force through Kauai Community College. So far they’ve raised and awarded over $120,000 in scholarship money to students and women!
The event itself showcases stunning desserts from the island’s best chefs, there will also be beverages, live music and a silent auction. The 25th Annual Eat Dessert First is on Tuesday, February 13, from 5:30-7:30 pm at the Kauai Marriott, and this year the theme is Mardi Gras Night! It costs $40 for a ticket and you can get one online here, or at the door on the night.
