We are so very blessed here on Kauai, not only do we live in one of God’s most beautiful islands but we are surrounded by good, Godly and loving people who do so much for the community.
One of the annual fundraisers here on Kauai is the All Angels Jazz Festival. Put on for the last 12 years by St. Michaels. We can all lift our voices and sing, raise the roof with praise for God and love Him through song.
The festival is coming up soon, February 2nd to 4th in fact and although it is a ticketed event (that always sells out) they also have two Free Jazz mass’ on Sunday. Here are the full details.
• Friday at 7 pm: Matt Lammler with Abe Lagrimas Jr and Darryl Miyasato, plus Kauai’s Rumba de Fuego.
• Saturday at 7 pm: Hawaii Jazz ukulele virtuoso Benny Chong with bassist Byron Yasui, plus Tierney Sutton with Latin Jazz great Gabriel Espinosa.
• Sunday’s Free Jazz Mass’ are held at 8:30 and 11 am, with the theme ‘Live Love Louder!’ and the All Angels Jazz Mass soloists and guest instrumentalists.
Tickets are $50 in advance or if there are any left $60 per night or $90 for both nights. The Sunday Jazz Mass is free although offerings are glad accepted.
