Are you missing the music of Christmas? It’s a wonderful time of year, filled with festive song, but afterwards it does seem a little quiet. If you find yourself missing the sounds of those gifted by God with musical talent then we have a treat for you!
On Friday, January 5th, from 5-9 pm you can enjoy the musical offering from Kauai Klassics with their 8th annual show! It’s a fundraiser for Kauai United Way who support a vast array of social service organizations here on Kauai, such as: Kauai Hospice, Hawaii Food Bank, Boys & Girls Clubs of Hawaii – Kauai and many more. All of the money raised stays here, on Kauai doing the most good.
The concert will feature: Emil Miland, cello – San Francisco Opera Orchestra, Robert Nakea, piano – Honolulu concert pianist, Jane Marvine, oboe – Baltimore Symphony, and James Olin, piano – Peabody Institute. Pieces by Clara Schumann, Saint-Saens, Rachmaninoff, Chopin, Piazzolla and others.
The tickets are $25 for the concert only, and $75 for the concert and pre-concert reception (heavy pupu,wine, entertainment, 3 donation drawing tickets, preferred concert seating). Their are travel packages to be won aThe concert will be at St. Michael’s Church in Lihue.
