A Busy Year at Makanalani — Dec 31, 2017

It has been an incredible, fast-paced, ever changing year of growth for us here at Makanalani, and we are so thankful for all that God has accomplished in 2017! As you know, SO much goes into making camp happen at the Kid’s House, from selling shave ice, to taming the surrounding jungle…from making superfood herbal teas, to caring for our animals. In fact, here are some fun, approximate numbers to reflect the work we’ve done this year…

2,900 gallons of milk delivered
7 calves born
42 lambs born
6.17 tons of citrus picked
13,000 tins of herbal tea grown, packaged, shipped
704 hours of grass mowing
520 hours of weed whipping
116,013 shave ice desserts sold
975 JoJo’s T-shirts sold

In addition to all of that, our intern house was purchased and majorly renovated, which enabled us to start our pilot internship program with the first ever Makanalani interns. We have signed leases for 3 new stores: 2 BBQ restaurants and 1 new JoJo’s, all to be opened in the first half of the new year.
Thank you for your support, love, and prayers! We appreciate all of you, and wish you a very Blessed and Happy New Year!
