Ok we admit it a Triathlon sounds like something you’d need to train a while for, but have you ever heard of a sprint triathlon? A sprint triathlon is a short distance triathlon still composing of a run, bike ride and swim, but ideal for those competitors who are new to the sport.
PMRF – Pacific Missile Range Facility are holding a sprint triathlon on Saturday, April 22nd, starting at 8.00 am.
There are 5 categories from ages 7 to 18+, and a family team option. The only requirements being that participants must be able to complete course requirements to participate.
CATEGORY: AGES 7-9 YEARS
(limit 15 participants)
100 yard swim, 3 mile bike, 1 mile run
CATEGORY: AGES 10-13 YEARS
(limit 15 participants)
140 yard swim, 3 mile bike, 1 mile run
CATEGORY: AGES 14-17 YEARS
(limit 15 participants)
200 yard swim, 3 mile bike, 1 mile run
CATEGORY: ADULT – 18+ YEARS
(limit 15 participants)
280 yard swim, 3 mile bike, 1 mile run
CATEGORY: FAMILY FUN TEAM
(limit 10 teams)
60 yard swim, 3 mile bike, 1 mile run
Team must consist of at least 1 adult and 1 child
This is event is free to those on Active duty, and $10 for everyone else.
