Early Learning Storytime for Keiki

This is an exciting new program at Waimea Library that we’re excited to tell you about. We all know that early learning is important for babies and young children, and this event is all about promoting early learning.

During this hour long free public program, children will engage in the five early learning skills: Read, Talk, Write, Sing, and Play! The first 20 minutes will be led by the librarian and will feature age appropriate stories and actions, rhymes and songs. After this the time is dedicated to free play with the library’s collection of educational toys and puzzles.

Planned for children aged from birth to five years. Toddlers and preschoolers also have the chance to take part in an art activity or make a simple craft to take home.

Held every Thursday until April 27th from 9:30 am at the Waimea Public Library.

Please note that the library requires all young children to be accompanied by an adult caregiver. Please notify the library if any sign language interpretation or other special accommodation is needed 808-338-6848, or visit the Hawaii State Library website.
