Lights on Rice Parade

Kauai has many traditions, and one that we love that celebrates the start of the holiday season is the Lights on Rice Parade on December 2nd. If you’ve never seen it before you’re in for a treat.

One of Kauai’s largest celebrations members of the community light themselves, and their vehicles up with all kinds of colorful displays, and parade from Vidinha Stadium, up Rice Street to the Historic County Building. There you can carry on the joyful celebration of the start of the Christmas season by seeing the decorations at the County Historic Building, and maybe even doing some shopping at the craft fair at Kauai Museum.

If you want to take part yourself you can, all they ask is that you light yourself and your vehicle up! You can find out more by clicking here.

This really is one of Kauai’s most beloved events that the whole family can enjoy. A wonderful way to start the joyful month of our Lord’s birth.
