Our friends at the Storybook Theatre invite you all to Princess Victoria Ka’iulani’s birthday party on Saturday October 15th, from 11am-4 pm.
We are lucky to have 10 year old Sami Lin Kihenepualehuamakanoe Ofisa portraying Hawaiian Princess Victoria Ka’iulani (1875-1899) at this years fest. She will lead the children’s parade at 11am on horseback, and will also perform hula, and read from a storybook.
The ever generous and keiki minded Storybook Theatre have some fantastic parade costumes for children to wear at no charge, such as Nylon Zoo costumes made just for Storybook and forest bird capes donated by Koke’e Natural History Museum! And the road by Hanapepe Hawaiian Congregational Church and Storybook Theatre will be closed for the duration of the event so everyone will be safe to enjoy the fun.
Everyone is welcome to join in the festivities, and all keiki are invited to the birthday party in Sparky’s Garden with Princess Ka’iulani where they can enjoy games, prizes and cake. Sounds like a wonderful event!
