Kauai’s own Junior Lifeguard Program is in full swing, but you haven’t missed the fun yet.
There are programs in Hanalei form July 11-15 & in Kalapaki July 18-22, plus the Kauai Championships July 23 at Kalapake Beach.
We don’t know yet which of our Kauai teams will be competing, but the State Championships are on Maui August 6.
If you or your child are between the ages of 12-17 & want to participate, call Kauai Ocean Safety Bureau at 241-4984 or 241-4168 or get a registration form from the County of Kauai website.
There’s hands on learning, drug awareness, rescue skills, CPR, beach hazards… &, of course, fun!
