Legos at McBryde Garden

Kauai is luck to have the first Hawaii exhibition of the amazing work of Sean Kenney.

It runs from May 6 to July 10, so there’s plenty of time. Of course Mother’s Day would be a perfect time to visit, or Father’s Day, or really any day is splendid for getting out in nature & viewing art.

From their press release:

Just as nature creates intricate, beautiful and colorful masterpieces in the plants we enjoy throughout Hawaii and tropical regions of the world, so too does artist Sean Kenney in Nature Connects: Art with LEGO® bricks. Using more than 370,000 individual LEGO® bricks, the renowned artist and children’s author has created 14 enchanting, nature-inspired sculptures to represent the importance of diverse ecosystems and how closely everything in nature is connected to sustain life.

This award-winning art exhibition will be on display for the first time ever in Hawaii at McBryde Garden of National Tropical Botanical Garden on the island of Kaua’i. Nature Connects will be on display for a limited time only! Don’t miss the chance to explore this whimsical art exhibit in more than 50 acres of rare and exotic plant collections at McBryde Garden this spring. Nature Connects will delight and inspire kids and adults of all ages!

WHEN:

Daily May 6 through July 10, 2016.

Self-guided tours of McBryde Garden and the Nature Connects exhibition depart every hour at the bottom of the hour from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
