Just a follow up… A while ago we told you about the Forest Akamai Art Camp. And they are offering scholarships as well!
Contact the Storybook Theatre now if your child would like to attend – space is limited. Details below.
The Storybook Theatre of Hawaii is proud to offer our Forest Akamai Art Camp to a limited number of students ages 7-12 yrs beginning Friday July 17 through Monday July 20, 2015.
Storybook Theatre is fortunate to offer Art instruction by renown Artist/Educator Caylin Spear. Ms Spear will be working on art projects using a variety of different media including watercolor, acrylics, and collage. All the art the children create will be inspired by the natural beauty of the Hawaiian forest in Koke‘e and a selection of their art will be included in a new book that will be judged and edited in part by Mary Nakamura of TenThousand Hands Art Studio and published by local publishing company, Monika Mira of Lucid Publishing. The book is funded in part by the David S. Boynton Education Grant.
A parent is welcome to join their child in the camp experience and there are scholarships available for those who have the desire to attend but not the means.
