We’ve posted about some of these events earlier, but we know how things can get lost with busy schedules, so on this May Day a few reminders of exciting things happening on Kauai.
May 5 is the traditional Japanese Children’s Day & Kauai is celebrating with Koinobori!
Saturday, May 7 is the Princeville Library Free Comic Book Day. This sounds to us like a wonderful pre-Mother’s Day outing & a great chance to visit the library & receive a gift.
Also on Saturday there is the Plant a Flower for Mother event at Kukui Grove.
For Mother’s Day, May 8 we have a special Brunch at Kukui’s Restaurant at the Kauai Marriott. The menu items look scrumptious & it’s a beautiful setting to relax & enjoy the family while honoring mom. You can make reservations right online by clicking here.
Gaylord’s at Kilohana is also doing a Mother’s Day brunch, so if you would rather have a traditional plantation setting, this is the place for you. And while you’re there you can ride the train & take in all the other fun activities.
And if your mother is a sporting type (so many on Kauai are), there may be the Canoe Surfing Challenge at Kalapaki Beach, surf permitting.
