This past Wednesday, we opened the doors at our new restaurant, Plantations BBQ & Bar, a Chicken in a Barrel franchise! The first two days, all our meals were free of charge, enticing customers to come in and try us out. Saturday we began charging for the first time, and we were very happy to see repeat customers already, as well as plenty of new faces.

A ton of work has gone in to getting this project up and running: setting up vendors, hiring and training, testing recipes for the expanded menu, renovating the space, building tables, painting walls, the list goes on. We are so thankful for our dedicated team, a gifted group of people who came together with their different strengths to accomplish this huge feat. This is just one more way that we will be able to keep Makanalani and its mission sustainable, and we are very excited!
