Inspirations of a Hawaiian Wildlife Artist

Hawaiian wildlife artist Patrick Ching (whose Mother, Norma Ching has written two books of poetry of inspiration and praise sent to her by the Holy Spirit) will be holding a free artist talk at Princeville Public Library on Wednesday, February 27th at 5:00 pm.

Having being born in Hawaii, Patrick Ching has a deep love and respect for our islands and wildlife. Back in the 1980’s he worked with the late Dan Moriarty at Kīlauea Point National Wildlife Refuge, before taking many trips to our remote Hawaiian atolls now known as Papahānaumokuākea. These trips helped form the memories that he draws on to inspire him in his art and in the upcoming talk. Learn about places that no longer exist and birds that have gone extinct as well as learning the secret of drawing the pattern of a sea turtles back!

You can currently see Patrick on Spectrum channel OC16 in the show “Painting In Paradise” where he is the host. And if you’d like to know more about him or to buy his or his mother’s book please click here to be taken to his website.
