A Weekend with KCF Kids!
What a joy it is to see the Kids House so full! We got the opportunity to connect with Kauai Christian Fellowship in bringing a Kids Retreat up to stay with us. They had a wonderful weekend full of fellowship, community, and fun. Seeing God move in the lives of these kids over weekends like this is such a blessing!
Wild at Heart and Captivating Core
For the 4th and 6th years respectively, we have had the opportunity to host the annual Kauai Wild at Heart Men’s Retreat and Captivating Core Women’s Retreat! Investing into men and women from all across Hawaii and a handful from mainland, these retreats are designed around building the attendees up to learn God’s design for their hearts and intentionally raise them in their relationship with Him. With opportunities for some of our staff to attend, this group has been a huge blessing to us. We are thankful for the impact they have on each person attending!
A February Update from the
Hawaii Leadership Residency
“We are halfway through an incredible session here at the Hawaii Leadership Residency. We’ve been serving at Makanalani Farms: landscaping the property, helping keep the Kids House tidy, and picking citrus for the organic jams and butters we make. At our house down the street, we have been diving deep into our new discipleship curriculum led by pastors, church planners, and other visiting teachers.
We have hosted weekly prayer and worship nights as well, both in-house and at Makanalani, opening these nights up to the broader community here on Kaua’i. It’s truly been spectacular to see how Jesus is encountering people through these nights, and it’s a great space for our residents to remember The One whom all their service is ultimately for.
…and the waves have been pretty epic this winter season as well!!
We still have summer spots open for guys, and fall spots open for both guys and girls. We are especially keen on seeing some mighty young men of God sign up! We are building out new men’s-focused initiatives: including outdoor adventures, career-based mentorship events, and an outdoor home gym.
