That’s right! As part of the county’s ’summer fun’ program keiki aged 5 to 11 years are eligible for FREE swimming classes at Kaua‘i High’s swimming pool. As we live on an island it feels very important that our keiki know how to look after themselves and act safely in and around water so we’re delighted to be able to share this with you.
The classes are limited and you have to apply in person to register for them at the Pi‘ikoi Building in Lihu‘e on Tuesday, May 25th from 9:00 am until Noon. It’s first come first served and there are two sessions on offer.
The first session from June 4th to June 29th is for beginners while the second session running from July 2nd to July 27th will have classes for both beginning and advanced swimmers. The classes will be held on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, the first session from 10:00 am to 11:00 am and the second session from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
Is you’d like to find out more before the sign up date then please call the Department of Parks and Recreation at 241-4460.
