Nightmare in Waimea is an annual event full of Halloween fun and scares, and all for a good cause, raising money for local charities through donations given at the event. So come on down to the Haunted Village and experience the Upside Down! as this year’s event is based on the hit tv show Stranger Things.
Waimea Canyon Park is being turned upside down and inside out from October 25th to 27th with their Haunted Village and it’ll be open from 5:30pm until 11:00 pm nightly. Plus there will be spooky Halloween movies on the lawn on Friday and Saturday, October 26 and 27 starting at sundown.
Now, are you feeling brave? We know the Haunted Village is going to be scary, after all that’s half the fun, but if scares aren’t for you or if you’re planning to come with younger keiki you can choose from from two different times to enjoy the Haunted Village. From 5:30-7:30 pm the event will be classed as Non Scary and ideal for younger children or us adults who hide behind the couch at the scary bits in movies, but if you’re up for a scare 7:30-11:00 pm is when it gets Sppooooooky and Scary!!!
They are also looking for volunteers to help with the event, so if you have the time and feel called to help email NightmareInWaimea@gmail.com or message then on the event page by clicking here.
