Spotlight on the Jacobs Family — October 10, 2017

In 2006 when the grounds of Makanalani were still overrun of Hawaiian jungle and no buildings or farm animals inhabited the property, Eric and Lyn began the work of turning their dream into reality with the help of Justin Jacobs. Justin was a part of the team that was hired to assist the Taylors to clear the property, make it usable, build roads, and cultivate the land into the beautiful paradise it is today! Justin dedicated his time and hard work over the next 6 years to help complete the massive project.

In 2012, Justin’s bride, Danielle, flew out to Kauai and they were married at Makanalani. 3 years later, their first son, Nali’i was born. And now they are expecting baby number 2, who will join the Makanalani family in December!

Justin and Dani have been serving Makanalani for the past 4 years in a multitude of ways. they are the type of people who see a need and step in to get the work done. Justin wears many hats: Farm Manager, Shepherd, IT Guy, Orchardist, Bee Keeper, Builder and Repair Man, to name a few. Dani stepped in as Lyn’s assistant in 2013, and since helped with contacting groups, cleaning and restocking the Kid’s House between groups, picking and boxing fruit from our citrus grove, handling all invoicing and payments for the citrus and assisting with office work for both the farm and JoJo’s.

We are so grateful for this hard-working, dedicated family, and we ask that you would add them to your prayers this month, as they continue to serve Makanalani with their many skills and talents.
