Christian Baptism

Have you been baptized? Maybe as baby, an event you may not recall or as a teen or adult while reaffirming your commitment to God. Christian baptism is a wordless way to make a public declaration of faith, declaring yourself a Disciple of Christ.

Done in the name of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Christian baptism tells the story albeit briefly of Christ: his life, death, and rebirth. As you too are reborn from the waters in which you confess yourself a sinner and then emerge cleansed in the holy life that follows salvation.

Baptism comes after giving yourself to God, and it’s important because it’s a public declaration of the change in your life and your commitment to God. It shows that you are turning your back on your old life of sin and are now trusting God to lead you in Christian life. It is your entrance into the Christian family.

Baptism is a command given by God and if you feel that God is calling you to be baptized then Kauai Christian Fellowship – South Campus is holding a Water baptism on Sunday, May 6th at the Boat Harbor in Poipu. You can sign up for it at the desk or visit their website to find out more by clicking here.

Matthew 28:19-20
‘Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
