70+ kids and lots of Aloha – Oct 17, 2017

Last week was fall break for the islands, and we had the privilege of hosting 2 separate groups of kids during that time. The first group was youth from the 4 Missionary Churches here on Kauai, who used this time to gather their youth groups together in one central place for 4 days of fun, learning, and fellowship. On the day of their departure, Kings Chapel arrived with their elementary youth, adding to the number of kids who experienced God’s love at Makanalani over the break. We couldn’t be more grateful to be able to provide a safe place for God’s children to have life-changing experiences, and we admire the work of the youth pastors and leaders who pour into these kids’ lives on a regular basis!

ALOHA. It’s a word that most people in the world identify as a simple Hawaiian greeting. But this word has a much deeper meaning of love, peace, and affection. Here in Hawaii, people are greeted Aloha (with love, peace, and affection). People give Aloha (with love, peace, and affection). And so we would like to say, friends of Makanalani, for being a part of what God is doing on Kauai!
